Ski Scotland (UK)

25 February - 1 March 2016

A 5 night winter break in Forter Castle in Scotland. Simply the best in accommodation, dining and a chance to ski both Glenshee and Nevis ranges. Other activities local to the Castle include walking, shooting and golf.  Even catch a helicopter from the aiport if you want to see a birds' eye view of the Scottish highlands!

The itinerary, in pictures...

Not the most traditional of ski holidays but we like to do things differently!  We have put together a trip offering a 5 night stay in a Scottish Highland retreat.  A chance to ski both Glenshee and Nevis ranges and reside in a Castle!  Snow conditions at this time of year are usually at their best, but there are plenty of local activities to keep us entertained if we don't make it up to the mountains every day. Long beautiful walks, stunning golf courses, horse riding, fishing, shooting and mountain biking.

It is a common mistake to underestimate the variety of Scotland's ski area.  Scotland's five mountain ski resorts offer accessible, great value skiing and snowboarding amidst some of the finest scenery in Europe, making it ideal for our short ski break.

To get the most out of your holiday, we recommend that you are comfortable with European blue runs before attending this trip.

Who is looking after the trip?

Jules is the Indego Club member who will be looking after the group for this trip - available prior to the trip and onsite to ensure everything is organised so that you can just simply turn up and enjoy yourself. See who's already booked below.

Any advantage of booking first?

Okay, so you don't get to see your holiday companions but as an incentive, Indego-Club will reward the first two people to book with the best rooms in the house* and £50 back towards your ski pass or other activities.

*applies to shared double room only

What's the board-basis?

We have made arrangements with a local Scottish chef, John Ramsay for two nights of fine dining with waitress service at the Castle.  Other evenings, we will dine at local pubs*, take turns to cook breakfasts and other meals amongst ourselves.  Indego Club will be responsible for filling the fridge with basics to last the week.

* please note - maximum of 2 x pub nights are not included in the price.  Bring your own alcohol.

Some time alone?

If you are a couple and want to ensure you get some time away from the group or simply just like to break away and do your own thing, don't worry!... Indego don't have clip boards and registers to monitor your attendance. You are more than welcome to peel away from the group for the odd day or evening.

Travel arrangements?

While Indego-Club don't include flights in the cost of your trip, we will be hiring a minibus to arrange the airport transfer to the Castle.  Please ensure your flight lands no later than 14:00.  We will leave Edinburgh for the Castle at 15:00.  Ryanair has a cheap flight (approx £35 return) leaving Stansted at 12:30 on Thursday 25 February - arriving Edinburgh at 13:50.  Returning Tuesday 1 March at 14:35 arriving Stansted 16:00. Helicopter transfers from the aiport can be arranged for those wishing to see the Scottish Highlands from the sky!
